Team Overview:
Overlay Portfolio Management (OPM) serves advisors and clients by efficiently and expertly addressing their tax, risk, and customization needs through the coordinated management of investments across sleeves, accounts, and households. Applying seasoned judgment to orchestrate tailored outcomes from a complex web of client and model provider inputs, helps clients achieve goals and financial wellness, drives advisor efficiency, and makes a client and advisor’s relationship with Edward Jones irreplaceable.
What You Will Do:
The Overlay Operations Associate is responsible for working with internal and external parties to assure that client accounts are in good order and tradable daily. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the characteristics of multiple asset classes and exposure to trading processes and settlement requirements.
Responsibilities include:

Work together with OPM Trading to ensure all UMA accounts are in good order to trade on the VestmarkOne platform

Collaborate with all departments in OPM to research and respond to account-related questions, changes, escalations, or issues

Conduct account administration, reconciliations, settlements and corporate actions

Support the setup and maintenance of external model manager reporting

Work with supported managers to elect and reconcile voluntary corporate actions
- Set up new securities/bonds on Vestmark, review and resolve issues on untradeable positions

Perform regular reviews and updates of procedures and controls

Coordinate and support client restriction reviews, oversee global restriction maintenance.

Work with the portfolio management and OPM trading teams as needed to support manager onboarding processes.

Regularly evaluate and implement controls and procedures
- Represent operations team in business reviews and meetings, as needed
What Experience You Need:-
Bachelor's Degree required
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an operations role preferably within financial services
- Must possess a high level of sensitivity to the audience, be able to modify the beliefs and opinions of others, and negotiate with significant latitude for the final outcome.

Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week.
