Job Overview
We are seeking a Government Services Audit Senior to join our team in Cincinnati, OH. In this role, you will be working with state agencies, municipalities, school districts, and public institutions to ensure the proper use of public resources. Primary Duties
- Conduct Audits: Develop and execute audit programs to address identified risks and meet engagement objectives. Prepare thorough workpapers, financial statements, and disclosures.
- Project Oversight: Take ownership of key aspects of engagements, manage timelines, and prioritize deliverables to meet client expectations. Monitor budgets and communicate effectively with managers.
- Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients to understand their operations, resolve issues, and maintain professional connections. Communicate risks and insights to engagement leadership.
- Team Support: Mentor and supervise staff auditors, review their work for accuracy and completeness, and provide feedback for improvement. Assist in performance evaluations and contribute to team development.

Requirements
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant audit experience, preferably in public accounting.
- Experience with government or public-sector clients and knowledge of GASB is a plus.
- Progress towards or attainment of CPA certification is highly desired.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, think critically, and communicate effectively.
