The tasks and responsibilities required of the Quality Assurance Manager are outlined below: Quality/Inventory Control:
- Champion of quality within the facility.
- Proven experience in Quality Management System (QMS), HACCP, Risk Assessments, audits, and compliance.
- Collects, tracks, and organizes data to provide performance feedback to the operation; responsible for suggesting methods to improve areas of operational efficiency and service to our customer. (OS&D, System Adjustments, Location Errors etc.)
- Responsible for facilitating and coordinating those activities associated with any internal or external audit, inventory cycle count, or any other quality and inspection related event.
- Works closely with senior and department managers to address non-conformities from internal and external audits.
- Primary resource and main point of contact for quality related activities such as the management of inspection hold products, product recalls, product inspections, trailer inspections and similar activities.
- Maintains positive and service-oriented work relationships with our customers and internal operational business partners; works closely with key customer points of contact to resolve inventory and product control issues.
- Recognized as the inventory and related systems/process expert in managing product through the warehouse.
- Provide guidance and general support in resolving and researching inventory discrepancies.
Services:
- Responsible for the management of value-added services in the facility to include space sell-off tenants; primary contact for customer specialized service requests.
- Management of receiving, inventory, product order, picking and shipping processes for all value-added services.
- Establishes a strong working relationship and rapport with the customer with an emphasis on personalized service and value.
- Develops and implements processes and plans to meet customer requirements
The skill and qualifications required of the Quality Assurance Manager are outlined below:
- 3-5 years of supervisory/management experience in a logistics role.
- 3-5 years of inventory/quality control experience.
- Intimate knowledge of shipping/receiving, warehouse, inventory and material handling operations, methods, and practices.
· Leadership: previously demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others. · Strong computer skills related to the use of Microsoft Office products, warehouse and inventory management systems and productivity tracking software.
- Strong communication skills (written, oral) along with a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Ability to operate and train subordinates on all equipment associated within a warehousing environment. (Forklift, deep reach, walkie, RF scanner)
