Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and care
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, snacks, or baked goods in accordance with food safety standards
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Manage cash handling responsibilities including cashiering, giving correct change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling stations and seating areas
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and compliance
Experience
- Previous barista or coffee experience is highly preferred; familiarity with café operations is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards and food preparation practices in the food industry
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced environment
