We are currently looking for an Experienced Make Ready Technician to support our fast-growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for painting fencing around the entire property, fencing around the pool, fencing and stairs on the exterior of the apartment buildings. This role will primarily be required to paint, but additional skills like patching sheet rock, installing trim, light fixtures and ceiling fans, minor appliance repair, kitchen and bathroom maintenance, etc is a plus. Schedule:
- Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
- On-call after hours (rotating)
- Start earning 5 vacation days per year after your 90 day trial period.
- 10 paid holidays (after 90 days)
Responsibilities:
- Painting of metal fences, gates, stairs rails, etc.
- Property trash pick up
- Swimming pool maintenance
- Make ready of rental units-to include but not limited to painting, sheetrock work, tape, float, texture, caulking, cabinet/counter installations, replacement of plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, doors, locks, appliance installation and some electrical work.
- Perform work orders as assigned by manager to include but not limited to appliances, leaks, electrical and plumbing issues (additional work as assigned)
- Maintenance/upkeep of property to include but not limited to striping of parking areas, power washing and some building exterior work.
- Ensure that all vacant apartments are thoroughly restored to “make ready” status in a timely manner for new residents to move in.
- Repaired and treated structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls, and building exteriors.
- knowledge in appliance repair & installation
- Ability to prioritize work load
Requirements
- Driver's License (Preferred)
- Must have reliable transportation(truck preferred)
- Weekends, On-Call & OT
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, simple correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple notes and fill out a Maintenance Service Request.
- Ability to communicate with residents and other employees.
- Be Team Player
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
- Ability to write legibly and clearly.
- Ability to communicate with residents and other employees.
- Willing to travel on a needed basis to help out siter properties when needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
