Gas & Chemical Technician
Location: Tualatin, OR 97062
Employment Type: W2 Contract – 12 Months with the Possibility of Extension
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $27.00/hour (determined by experience)
Shift: Monday–Friday for Training; Back-End Day Shift After Training

Role Overview
BEPC is seeking a Gas & Chemical Technician to support our client’s onsite gas and chemical operations in Tualatin, OR. This hands-on technical role is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting gas and chemical distribution equipment in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting abilities, hands-on electrical/electronic experience, and a commitment to safety and quality. Both experienced and entry-level technicians will receive comprehensive on-the-job technical training and qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the operation and maintenance of gas and chemical distribution equipment.
- Perform cylinder and drum changes on chemical and gas systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and support problem resolution.
- Support more than 500 pieces of gas and chemical distribution equipment.
- Follow established operating, maintenance, safety, and quality procedures.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities.
- Support safety processes and quality management activities.
- Assist with installation, decommissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of gas systems, precursor delivery systems, and bulk chemical distribution systems as qualified.
- Maintain a strong focus on preventing safety and quality incidents.
- Participate in required technical training and qualification programs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, technical degree, or relevant technical training.
- Ability to safely work in an industrial environment and follow established safety and quality procedures.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Hands-on electrical/electronic experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
- Willingness to work multiple shifts, including nights.
- Experience with hazardous gases and chemicals is a plus.
- Experience with chemical and gas distribution equipment is preferred.
- Navy Nuclear Power School or military mechanical training is preferred.
