Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. As the Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging curriculum, managing classroom activities, and providing individualized support to students. Roseland Christian Preschool's program is designed to teach the love of Jesus to each of the children the Lord sends. We are a play based program. Attention to all areas of development are essential in shaping the educational experience of our students and ensuring their academic success.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that meets the educational standards and needs of students.
- Manage classroom activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment conducive to learning.
- Provide individualized tutoring and support to students, focusing on areas such as math and standardized testing preparation.
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to promote positive student behavior and engagement.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the educational experience within the private school setting.
- Educate parents on their child's progress and provide guidance on supporting their learning at home.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or interns in the classroom setting.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessments.
Qualifications
- Associates, Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred. CDA's and FCCPC's are also acceptable for this position.
- Proven experience in curriculum development and classroom management.
- Familiarity with following and implementing curriculum.
- Experience working in a private school environment is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- A passion for educating young children and fostering their love for learning.
