Business Development
Summary:
Our client is a premier, U.S. based systems integrator who is looking for an Business Development Executive. The Business Development Account Executive will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, expanding existing customer relationships, and selling engineering and automation services throughout Metro Detroit. You will inherit existing accounts to grow while also identifying and developing new opportunities within the manufacturing sector.
The Business Development Executive must have at least five years of relevant experience in a similar sales manufacturing environment.
Business Development Executive Job Requirements:
- BS Degree preferred
- Experience in controls systems integration industry preferred
- 5+ years sales experience
- Excellent customer communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Confidence and Professionalism
Business Development Executive Job Responsibilities:
- Using Sandler Sales techniques, find new sales opportunities, foster existing clients, and sell services
- Key component of selling to industry is the ability to build customer confidence in Patti Engineering’s abilities
- Provide some rough pre‐engineering based on customer’s requirements
- Prioritize proposal requests from potential customers to ensure that PE’s proposal efforts are being done with the best efficiency
- Provide communications with assisting engineer, operations manager to make sure scope of work is clearly defined
- Collaborate with CEO to on strategic accounts and large opportunities
- Assist proposing engineer to present proposals to the customer and provide follow‐up to determine why/why not Patti Engineering was/was not selected as vendor
- Participate in Sandler Sales training program
- Be assertive, self‐aware, empathetic, and optimistic
