On-Call Coordinator

Visiting Angels Louisville is hiring an On-Call Coordinator to manage after-hours communication for our non-medical home care agency. This role is the first point of contact for caregivers and clients outside normal business hours, ensuring calls and texts are handled promptly and documented accurately.
Schedule & Pay
- Coverage: 5:00 PM – 9:30 AM (next day)
- Flat rate per on-call shift (not hourly):
- Monday–Friday: $50/shift
- Saturday/Sunday: $100/shift
- This is a flat rate covering the entire on-call period, not an hourly wage. Actual time spent on calls will vary by night.
Responsibilities
- Answer and respond to phone calls and text messages during on-call hours
- Resolve caregiver and client issues as they arise (shift coverage, schedule changes, urgent concerns)
- Document all calls and outcomes in our scheduling/documentation system
- Escalate urgent or unresolved issues to management as needed
- Maintain a professional, calm demeanor during after-hours contact
Qualifications
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable handling calls independently and making judgment calls
- Competent with computers, smartphones, apps, and internet-based systems — you'll be navigating our scheduling/documentation software and communicating via phone and text throughout each shift
- Reliable access to a phone, computer/tablet, and internet during on-call hours
- Prior experience in home care, healthcare, or customer service preferred
- Familiarity with scheduling software a plus
