Key Responsibilities
- Implement behavioral therapy techniques, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), across various settings
- Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, toileting, and mobility
- Collect, track, and analyze behavioral data to inform treatment decisions and monitor progress
- Support the development and implementation of individualized care plans
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to ensure consistency across environments
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, progress notes, and records in compliance with HIPAA
- Use appropriate medical terminology when documenting observations and interventions
- Support behavioral health initiatives by applying patient‑centered behavior‑management strategies
Experience & Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities strongly preferred
- Knowledge of ABA principles and behavior‑management strategies
- Experience assisting with ADLs in a caregiving, educational, or clinical setting
- Familiarity with medical documentation processes and maintaining confidential records
- Understanding of special education principles and instructional methods for children with autism
- Ability to collect data systematically and adjust interventions based on results
- Strong communication skills, patience, empathy, and professionalism
