About the Bexley City Schools:
Our Schools
The Bexley City School District is a high-performing public school district with about 2,450 students. One of the top districts in the state, the Bexley City School District has a long history of outstanding achievement grades given by the state of Ohio. Bexley High School in 2023 was named the #1 high school in Ohio by U.S. News & World Report and ranked among the top 200 in the United States. The 2024 and 2025 rankings by U.S. News & World Report ranked Bexley High School #2 in Ohio.
Bexley's neighborhood schools form the center of a stable, close-knit community and are valued for their walkability throughout the district, thus limiting the district's transportation needs.
Our three elementary schools span the three main areas of the city north, south, and central while Bexley Middle School and High School are centrally located. Students benefit from the small class sizes that permit personal attention and foster academic excellence, with access to a rich variety of courses and extra-curricular programs.
-
The district is in year three of a community-driven, three-year strategic plan, with current work being done to extend the plan for three years.
-
The Board of Education has approved Phase I of district facilities upgrades and has started the process of placing an issue on the November 2026 ballot.
-
Bexley City Schools offers a variety and diverse selection of programs for its students and is comparable in offerings to larger districts.
-
The district is also supported by the Bexley Education Foundation, a dedicated partner providing additional funding through private dollars for educational initiatives, teacher and classroom grants, and districtwide impact grants.
Our schools are supported by and work with multiple organizations, including school building PTOs, the Diverse Learning PTO, Bexley Minority Parent Alliance (BMPA), Developmental Assets Resource Network (DARN), Athletic, Music and Theater booster groups, as well as other local organizations including Bexley Recreation & Parks, the Community Foundation, One Bexley, Bexley Public Library and the City of Bexley.
