Chroma Early Learning Academy is hiring an Assistant Teacher in Austell, GA
As an Assistant Childcare Teacher at Chroma Early Learning Academy, you will collaborate with lead teachers to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that fosters young children's social, emotional, and cognitive development. Your role will involve helping to implement age-appropriate activities, ensuring the well-being and supervision of all children, and maintaining a clean and organized space. Effective communication with staff and families is essential in this role. - Support the Lead Teacher in providing daily care to children in the classroom and ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging classroom environment that adheres to Georgia DECAL and Quality Rated standards.
- Assist in the implementation of a curriculum that promotes sensory exploration, early communication, and gross motor development.
- Monitor and document developmental milestones, and regularly communicate with families.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines related to licensing and program compliance.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development, and required training for Quality Rated compliance.
- Must be 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED Required
- Ability to Pass a Background Check
- Ability to meet all requirements under Georgia’s Bright from the Start and Quality Rated guidelines.
- Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to continuous learning.
- Passion for early childhood education and the social-emotional well-being of young children.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
In progress, or willingness to obtain CDA, TCC, or paraprofessional, with one year of teaching or childcare experience preferred.
