Responsibilities
Assist senior groomers with bathing, drying, and brushing dogs to ensure a comfortable grooming experience. Learn and support the trimming, clipping, and styling of various dog breeds according to established standards. Help maintain a clean and organized grooming area, including sanitation of tools and workspaces. Handle dogs safely and gently, applying proper animal restraint techniques to ensure their safety and comfort. Support pet owners by providing updates on their pets’ grooming progress and answering basic questions about pet care. Participate in animal handling activities that promote calmness and trust during grooming procedures. Assist with pet care tasks such as feeding, walking, or administering basic veterinary-related support under supervision.
Requirements
Prior Dog Bathing experience At least 6-12 months
This position will require you to buy or have your own grooming equipment
A genuine love for animals with a strong interest in dog training, pet grooming, and animal handling. Previous experience or familiarity with veterinary environments, veterinary technician or assistant roles is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for handling larger dogs or equipment. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members. Willingness to learn new skills related to pet grooming, animal restraint, and overall animal care procedures. Basic knowledge of pet sitting, kennel experience, or animal care practices is advantageous. Strong work ethic with attention to detail and the ability to follow safety protocols diligently.
