Responsibilities
- Manage the receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming shipments using warehouse management systems and inventory management software.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, labeling, and verifying orders with precision, ensuring compliance with trade regulations and customer specifications.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely to load and unload trucks efficiently while maintaining a safe warehouse environment.
- Maintain accurate data entry for all shipping and receiving transactions within ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms.
- Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries, optimizing shipping routes for cost-effectiveness and timeliness.
- Conduct regular inventory counts, stock replenishment, and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy across warehouse distribution points.
- Support warehouse operations by assisting with order picking & packing, stocking shelves, and organizing warehouse space for maximum efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards during shipments involving cross-border logistics.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, or logistics roles with familiarity in inventory management software and ERP systems like AS400 or MRP systems.
- Strong knowledge of shipping logistics, international trade regulations, and trade compliance procedures.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment safely; forklift certification is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for data entry, reporting, and communication purposes.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail for accurate order fulfillment and inventory control.
- Basic math skills for measuring quantities, calculating weights/volumes, and verifying shipment documentation.
- Customer service mindset to effectively communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items safely, and perform manual tasks involved in stocking and packaging activities.
