Position Title: Chemical Applications Specialist
Location: Within 30 miles of Glyndon, MN (Company transportation is provided)
Description: Transport, deliver and refill carwash soaps/chemicals in 5 gallon/50lb containers to customers within a 180-mile radius. Occasionally pre-designated routes may require overnight travel. This position requires attention to detail. The specialist will follow a checklist of inspection items to ensure the carwash is functioning as intended and utilize an iPad and laptop for a variety of apps to view and enter data. Training and inventory replenishment will require travel to the corporate office located in New Prague, MN, at least quarterly.
* We provide extensive training. Industry-specific experience is not a prerequisite.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Safe transport, delivery and application of chemicals
- Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships with a future emphasis on procuring new customers for both chemical and service opportunities, leading to commission and bonus possibilities
- Effective and persistent communication with both team members and customers
- Inventory Management
- Ability to prioritize issues and manage time effectively
- Site inspections and application troubleshooting
- Completing work orders and service reports both manually and electronically
- Safely perform repairs which may include working on ladders, operating equipment, and performing basic lockout/tag out procedures and other OSHA requirements
- Safe operation of company-provided vehicles and equipment
- Upon successful completion of job training, cross-training to include field service, maintenance, and repair of car wash systems and equipment
Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:
- Must pass DOT physical and drug test
- Willingness to obtain a Class C CDL required
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds throughout the day
- A safe driving record and mechanical aptitude is required
- Willingness and ability to learn and computer skills are required
- A winning attitude and the ability to work autonomously and within a team
