Parkerville Wood Products is a specialty lumber retailer and custom woodworking manufacturer with a reputation for quality and expertise. From our Manchester location, we serve hobbyists, homeowners, contractors, and professional woodworkers with an extensive selection of over 60 species of hardwood and softwood lumber, live-edge slabs, cabinet-grade plywood, and more. In addition to retail sales, Parkerville provides both basic and complex custom milling services, architectural millwork, and other custom woodworking for residential and commercial projects.
We are seeking a full-time Shop Laborer / Customer Service Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are motivated, detail-oriented, physically fit, and eager to work in a hands-on environment while learning more about the woodworking industry.
Responsibilities
- Safely handle and move lumber, sheet goods, and other materials by hand, with carts, and with forklifts.
- Organize, stock, and maintain warehouse inventory.
- Assist customers in selecting, purchasing, and loading materials.
- Support milling and fabrication operations as needed.
- Help with property and building maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift and move heavy materials (50+ lbs).
- Comfortable working in a warehouse/shop environment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions.
- Basic customer service skills.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Reliable transportation to work.
- Bonus (not required): Woodworking experience.
- Bonus (not required): Experience operating forklifts, and ability to drive non-CDL box trucks.
