Sipsy is a curated online retailer and Los Angeles boutique specializing in additive-free spirits and natural wine. We ship nationwide and are one of the few destinations in the country focused exclusively on clean, intentional drinking. We're a small, founder-led team — which means the right person in this role will touch every part of the business and grow fast because of it.
The Role
We're looking for a highly capable, adaptable assistant who can assist in marketing and tech initiatives with a high focus on AI. You will be working directly with the founders to execute on marketing and ops strategies so you will be required to wear many hats. One day you might be updating our website and scheduling social content; the next you're helping build an AI automation or handling customer emails. If you're someone who thrives on variety, loves learning, and wants a front-row seat to how a modern e-commerce brand is built and run — this is that opportunity.
You don't need to know everything coming in. You need to be resourceful, reliable, and genuinely excited about digital and e-commerce.
This a great entry-level opportunity for someone who is passionate about AI and is eager to learn and grow.
What You'll Do
- Website & E-Commerce — Update and maintain our Shopify store, upload products, make page edits, and assist with SEO tasks
- Social Media Content — Write captions, schedule posts, draft and edit Reels and TikTok scripts, and support campaign ideation
- Customer Service — Respond to customer inquiries and manage order-related questions in our brand voice
- AI Tools & Automation — Help build and maintain AI-powered workflows and internal tools (curiosity required, experience not)
- Research & Operations — Competitor research, influencer outreach tracking, vendor coordination, and general ops support
- Personal Assistant Tasks — Occasional scheduling, research, and logistics support for the founder
What We're Looking For
- Ability to think outside the box
- Currently enrolled in college or recently graduated
- Strong writer — clear, concise, and adaptable in tone
- Highly organized and self-directed; you follow up and flag issues without being asked
- Comfortable picking up new tools quickly
- Genuine interest in e-commerce, DTC brands, or digital marketing
- Curious about AI and how it's changing the way businesses operate
- Reliable and communicative — you do what you say you'll do
- Ability to commute to LA locations (this is not a remote position)
Bonus Points
- Familiarity with Shopify (even basic)
- Experience with Instagram, TikTok, or Meta Ads
- Knowledge of Google Search Console, GA4, or SEO tools
- Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Creative Suite
- Any AI tools — ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, etc.
- Email platforms like Klaviyo or Mailchimp
- Interest in spirits, wine, or the wellness/lifestyle space

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
