Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Swiss Machinist for a full-time, direct hire opportunity.
This is a second shift position offering competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Swiss machines and strong knowledge of machining processes.
Schedule:
Monday – Thursday
3:15 PM – 1:45 AM (Second Shift)
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate Swiss machines (single and/or multiple spindle)
- Work with lathes, mills, mill-turn equipment, centerless grinders, and multi-axis grinders
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Select and install tooling, work holding, and fixtures for each job
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues
- Make necessary machine adjustments to maintain quality
- Inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Accurately document production and work performed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience with Swiss machining required
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Solid understanding of machining principles (tooling, speeds, and feeds)
- High attention to detail
- Basic computer skills
