We are seeking a skilled and reliable Elevator Mechanic to join our team. Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the mechanical and electrical components of elevators and other lift equipment, is able to work independently, and can ensure all safety procedures are followed at all times.
Requirements:
- Repair, and maintain elevator systems, including cables, motors, hydraulic systems, control systems, and safety devices.
- Carry out regular preventative maintenance on elevator/escalator equipment.
- Conduct testing to ensure system performance and safety.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with elevator operation.
- Keep records of service calls, maintenance procedures, and machine specifications.
- Follow and comply with all safety standards and regulations.
- Respond to emergency call-outs as needed, including after-hours emergency call coverage.
- Must be able to safely lift & carry tools/materials in excess of 75 lbs.
- Ability to safely, with assistance, raise & lift material/items weighing 200 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as an Elevator Mechanic.
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong organization/time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment.
- Completion of an apprenticeship or certification program in elevator repair and maintenance, preferred.
- Strong work ethic, professional attitude, display trustworthiness, self-motivated & be a self-starter.
- Must possess strong communication and customer service skills.
