American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Joint Commission accredited community hospital and regional referral center in Lake Havasu City, AZ, requiring at least 2 years of RN experience and prior telemetry and acute care experience.

Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit within a 171-bed, Joint Commission accredited community hospital and regional referral center

40-bed unit serving an adult and geriatric patient population
-
Patient types include total joint, surgical, ACS, CHF, CKD, alcohol withdrawal, SIRS, and GI bleed patients
-
Patient ratio of 1:6
-
Equipment includes Baxter IV pumps, Posey bed/chair alarms, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Zoll defibrillators
-
EMR: Medhost
-
Schedule is 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
-
4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule period
-
No scheduled on-call, though shifts may occasionally be flexed to on-call as needed (up to twice per contract)

Floating to other units, including IMC and ED, is expected

Certified Chest Pain Center

13-week contract in Lake Havasu City, AZ — near Las Vegas (2.5 hrs), Phoenix (3.25 hrs), and Grand Canyon (3.5 hrs)

Active AZ RN license or compact RN license required

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA-issued)

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Recent acute care experience required

Telemetry experience required

Prior travel nursing experience required

Ability to manage a 1:6 patient ratio

ADN or higher required
-
SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate

Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible

Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible

Preceptor and charge nurse experience is a plus

Scrub color required: black top and bottom; open-toed shoes are not permitted

No block schedule requests; 48-hour scheduling may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Weekly orientation is provided
