As we continue to grow, we are looking for Assembly Technicians to join our team and support our expanding assembly efforts.
Position Overview:
As Assembly Technician, you will play an important role in our manufacturing process to build battery assembles and battery systems for mission critical applications. You will be part of team of approximately 12 technicians who specialize in the complete process assembling a wide variety of products in a quickly changing industry.
Fedco Batteries is hiring two immediate positions available for electronic assembly technicians. These are entry level positions with a full training program which starts on day one.
Key Responsibilities:
Job responsibilities include the assembly of small battery packs and other related parts. Processes include following work instructions and control plans build electronic products in a job shop atmosphere. Specific processes to include reading work instructions and technical drawings, selecting proper materials, arranging, taping, gluing, resistance welding, and soldering battery cells, assembling wiring harnesses, crimping pins, assembling, programming, and testing electronic circuits and circuit boards, labelling, packaging, testing, and inspection of final products.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should be skilled at small electronics assembly, familiar with basic blueprint reading, using hand tools, using mechanical and electrical measurement equipment, and familiar with ESD (electrical static discharge) protocols when working with electronic components.
Full training will be done for any entry level candidates. Candidate will progress in capabilities and training over several weeks. The ideal candidate will work directly under the direction of the Production Manager and as part of a team of approximately twelve teammates. Past experience in electronics assembly is desired, however any related small assembly experience is relevant.
