Capitol Custom Cabinetry is a small, quality-driven custom cabinet shop in Alexandria, Virginia. We design, build, and install high-end kitchens, built-ins, libraries, closets, and architectural millwork throughout the DMV.
We're looking for an experienced cabinet maker who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving challenges, and wants to be part of a team where craftsmanship comes first.
As a small shop, every person plays an important role. You'll have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of custom projects and help shape how we continue to grow.
Responsibilities
- Build custom cabinetry from shop drawings
- Assemble cabinet boxes, drawers, and doors
- Install hinges, drawer slides, and hardware
- Operate woodworking machinery safely
- Verify dimensions before fabrication
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work with our design and installation teams to ensure projects meet our quality standards
- Assist with installations as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- 1+ years of cabinet shop or architectural millwork experience
- Ability to read shop drawings
- Strong measuring skills
- Experience with frameless cabinetry
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Reliable transportation to work

- Experience with:
- Sliding table saw
- Edge bander
- Wide belt sander
- Hardware
- Veneer work
- Laminate work
- Installation experience
