About the Role:
Blazin Chicken & Gyro in Hackensack, NJ is looking for a skilled and passionate Grill Man to join our fired-up kitchen team! Responsibilities:
- Operate and manage the grill station to prepare chicken, gyro meats, and other menu items to order
- Monitor grill temperatures and cooking times to ensure food safety and quality standards
- Marinate, season, and prep proteins according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary grill station throughout the shift
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment during peak hours
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food inventory as needed
- Follow all health, safety, and food handling regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a grill cook, line cook, or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen
- Solid knowledge of grilling techniques for poultry, meats, and proteins
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during high-volume service periods
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper temperature control
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a hot kitchen environment
- Food handler certification is a plus but not required
