Reports To: Director of Cattle Market Strategy
Position Summary
The Assistant Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting strategic marketing, brand development, and commercial growth of the company’s livestock portfolio, with a very strong emphasis on cattle. The position will also support dairy and swine marketing.
The position will support brand strategy, product launches, and integrated marketing initiatives designed to grow market share within the livestock industry. The ideal candidate brings industry knowledge, relationships within the livestock community, and experience in delivering measurable results.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand & Business Leadership
- Support, develop and execute comprehensive brand ladder strategies to strengthen positioning and expand market reach.
- Support the launch of new livestock products, including go-to-market planning and execution.
- Identify growth opportunities and implement strategies to expand market share within the cattle, dairy, and swine segments.
Channel & Market Strategy
- Support and activate channel strategies across key distribution channels including dealers, retailers, and digital platforms.
- Partner with sales leadership to drive adoption and growth across dealer networks and key accounts.
- Help create and deliver sales enablement tools and dealer training materials to support product education and selling effectiveness.
Marketing & Creative Execution
- Support digital marketing strategy, including social media, website content, and online engagement initiatives.
- Support and develop compelling content and storytelling that resonates with livestock owners and industry professionals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Support Supply Chain, Product Development, and Sales teams to ensure successful product launches, inventory planning, and demand forecasting.
- Work collaboratively across departments to align marketing initiatives with overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
Experience
- 3-5 years of professional marketing experience, preferably within animal health, livestock products, agriculture, or related industries.
Industry Expertise
- Involvement in the livestock industry, including professional relationships and active memberships in relevant organizations.
- Understand livestock nutrition and performance needs.
Skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across sales, supply chain, and product teams.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate insights into actionable marketing programs.
Preferred Attributes
- Passion for the livestock industry and active participation in the community.
- Experience working with dealer networks and channel marketing strategies.
- B.S. degree required.
- 25-30% travel required (dealer events, industry trade shows, sales meetings).
