Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and solution-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for helping maintain the overall condition, safety, and functionality of the hotel by performing routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repairs across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
The Maintenance Technician plays an important role in the guest experience by helping ensure the hotel stays clean, comfortable, operational, and well maintained. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in fixing problems, working with their hands, and supporting a hotel team in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance in guest rooms, public areas, and hotel equipment
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, carpentry, and general building issues
- Help maintain the overall appearance and condition of the hotel interior and exterior
- Complete preventative maintenance assignments and document completed work as required
- Inspect equipment, systems, and hotel facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns
- Assist with room turns, public area upkeep, and general property projects as needed
- Maintain tools, maintenance areas, and storage spaces in a clean and organized manner
- Follow all hotel safety procedures and maintenance standards
- Communicate effectively with hotel leadership and other departments regarding repairs, updates, and property needs
Qualifications
Required
- Previous maintenance, facilities, building, hotel, or general repair experience
- Basic working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and general building repair
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely
- Ability to work on your feet, lift, bend, climb, and complete physical work throughout the shift
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays as needed
Preferred
- Previous hotel maintenance or hospitality maintenance experience
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs and work order systems
- HVAC certification or related trade experience
- Familiarity with Marriott or other branded hotel maintenance standards
- Ability to handle on-call or after-hours maintenance needs when required

- Flexible schedule based on business needs
- Weekends and holidays as needed
- On-call availability may be required
