We are seeking an enthusiastic, hospitality-driven Tasting Room Associate to join our team for the summer/fall season. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys connecting with people, sharing a passion for wine and agriculture, and creating exceptional guest experiences.
As a key member of our tasting room team, you will welcome guests, lead engaging wine tastings, support wine and club sales, and help create a warm, inviting atmosphere for visitors. This role offers a flexible schedule with the potential for continued growth and opportunities within the company.
Position Overview
The Tasting Room Associate is responsible for delivering outstanding hospitality, educating guests about our wines and farm, driving sales, and ensuring every visitor leaves with a memorable experience.
Schedule: Part-time, seasonal summer/fall position
Availability: Flexible weekday scheduling with weekends, evenings, and summer music/concert events required
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide exceptional hospitality throughout their visit
- Conduct wine tastings while educating guests about our wines, vineyard/farm, and story
- Process purchases and memberships using our POS system
- Support wine sales, wine club growth, and customer retention initiatives
- Build meaningful connections with guests and create a memorable tasting room experience
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and daily operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming tasting room environment
- Support special events, live music, and seasonal activities as needed
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurants, wineries, retail, or customer service strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-focused mindset
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable learning and operating POS systems and basic computer applications
- Reliable availability for weekends, holidays, and occasional evening events
- Wine knowledge is a plus, but not required—we are happy to provide training
- TIPS certification or equivalent preferred (can obtain during training if needed)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds regularly
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors during events and seasonal activities
