Supply Chain Purpose of Role
Manage and coordinate all supply chain activities supporting aerospace manufacturing programs, ensuring on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with customer requirements and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the procurement of raw materials, hardware, outside processing, and services to support production schedules.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships; monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, cost, and delivery.
- Manage inventory levels, demand planning, and material requirements using ERP/MRP systems.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace and defense regulations (ITAR, DFARS) and quality standards (AS9100, ISO 9001).
- Coordinate logistics, shipping, receiving, and transportation activities to meet program schedules while minimizing costs.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, Production, Program Management, and other cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
- Monitor, analyze, and report Supply Chain KPIs to management, highlighting risks, opportunities, and performance trends.
- Lead cost reduction initiatives, process improvements, supplier development, and supply chain risk mitigation efforts.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, documentation, and digital product data (DPD) to support customer requirements, internal controls, and audit compliance.
- Provide customer service support by communicating order status, responding to customer inquiries, preparing reports, and participating in customer meetings.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation, sourcing, and supplier relationship management skills.
- Solid knowledge of aerospace supply chain requirements, procurement practices, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to provide timely status updates, prepare reports, and effectively communicate with customers.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments while maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy.
Pay: $68,167.50 - $82,094.19 per year
