Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and energetic welder. Make weld assembly from a drawing without the use of a predesigned weld fixture. Demonstrating the ability to perform complex welding tasks with little or no supervision.
Duties
- Proficiently set up and operate all related welding equipment and all applications in expert welding.
- Assist in the equipment maintenance as instructed.
- Assist in developing welding procedures specifications.
- Provide training and assistance to lesser-qualified welders.
- Assist in the certification of uncertified welders.
- Assist the Supervisior with work assignbemnts as required.
- Produce and verify parts as outlined in procedures and work instructions in department manual.
- Make Supervisor and/or Plant Manager aware of changes needed to process routers and procedures as necessary.
- Must pursue to be certified welder to GB Fabrication's specifications.
- Notify Supervisor and/or Plant Manager of safety issues and concerns.
- Perform general housekeeping duties as directed.
- Perform duties as directed by Supervisor and/or Plant Manager.
- Dispose of scrap material as directed. Authorizations to scrap material must be approved by the Supervisor.
- Make Supervisor and/or Plant Manager aware of any non-conformity in product.
- Demonstrate a level of adequate proficiency.
- Demonstrate satisfactory attendance.
- Demonstrate innovation in task accomplishment with minimal supervision.
Job Comprehension Requirements:
- Must be able to correctly pick the right Welding Jig to use if needed.
- Must be able to read Blue Prints thoroughly.
- Must be able to measure accurately.
- Must be able to operate all welding equipment and be familiar with it.
- Must have goof housekeeping in the your area.
- Be able to give advice for welding procedures with all of you ideas to make the job run smoothly and better.
- Help train other welders who are less qualified if needed or asked.
- Be able to use a computer to documents all jobs you are working on and completting.
- Must have basic knowledge of ISO.
