Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Inventory Specialist to join our supply chain and logistics team. In this role, you will oversee inventory levels, coordinate warehouse distribution, and optimize stock management processes to ensure seamless operations across multiple channels. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis skills, expertise in warehouse management systems, and a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management principles.
Duties
- Manage inventory levels through accurate data collection, analysis, and reporting using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and ERP systems like SAP or AS400.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify discrepancies or inefficiencies in stock levels, order fulfillment, and warehouse operations.
- Utilize demand planning and supply chain analytics to forecast inventory needs and support production planning.
- Oversee warehouse distribution activities including shipping & receiving, materials handling, and materials management to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) for transportation planning, shipping schedules, and freight cost optimization.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards during heavy lifting or materials handling activities within warehouse environments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in inventory management within a warehouse or retail environment with a focus on supply chain management.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms such as SAP or AS400, SQL databases, and data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform data mining, root cause analysis, and financial modeling.
- Knowledge of procurement processes including sourcing, negotiations, contracts, and vendor management.
- Familiarity with demand planning software (MRP systems), logistics operations, and materials handling procedures.
- Ability to perform analysis using tools such as Nielsen data or other retail analytics platforms.
- Experience operating Sitdown/Stand up forklift
Pay: $18.50 - $19.00 per hour
