Homemades by Suzanne has been feeding people like family for over 43 years! We are a full service caterer and deli-style lunch place serving tried and true recipes that people love! Many of our employees have been here for 15 or more years!
Overview:
We are seeking an individual that is reliable and wants to show up everyday and exercise their great cooking skills in exchange for solid pay and place where you feel appreciated. We have worked hard to create an environment where our staff can feel secure and know that as long as they want to work here; we have created a safe; viable place for them to be.
This position requires strong cooking and baking skills. You will never get bored with us! All of our staff members do anything from making sandwiches and lunches on our lunch line to cooking different kinds of food everyday. Because we are a caterer... we prepare items daily from different recipes based on the customers requirements for their event. This is your opportunity to really let your passion for food shine!
We are open Tuesday - Saturday. Work hours are generally 8am to 5pm. May be more or less based on the season. Because we are a family owned company; we are closed WITH Pay on all major holidays including Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, 4th of July, Labor Day and Memorial Day. Two weeks of paid vacation and additional Paid Time Off are yours as well after a probation period. We also provide free lunch to our team daily.
Because we cater.. there is plenty of opportunity for overtime if you want it.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the food industry or culinary field is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures. ServSafe is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
