Duties
- Prepare and cook Italian menu items with attention to detail, consistency, and presentation standards
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection and dish execution
- Support food preparation tasks, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and utensils throughout shifts
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Help with catering orders and special event setups as needed
- Ensure all food is stored properly according to safety standards and rotation protocols
Experience
- Previous experience working in an Italian restaurant is a must.
- Culinary experience in fine dining settings is a strong plus
- Demonstrated skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling procedures
- Knowledge of dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is advantageous
- Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety regulations
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods
- Experience in catering or large-scale food service operations is desirable
