Position Overview:
As a cashier, you’ll be the face of McKeever Price Chopper, responsible for creating a welcoming and helpful atmosphere for every customer. From efficiently operating the checkout lane to assisting customers with locating products, you play a key role in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Greet each customer with eye contact and a sincere "Thank you"

Provide friendly, helpful, easy, and safe service that meets customer expectations

Maintain a professional appearance and attitude in line with company standards

Operate the register quickly and accurately, handling various forms of payment

Stay informed on regulations regarding WIC, food stamps, alcohol/tobacco, and lottery (if applicable)

Promote additional product sales when appropriate

Keep cashier area and store clean and organized

Assist customers with bagging and locating items

Return misplaced products to shelves

Resolve customer complaints courteously and professionally
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

Must be at least 16 years old

Excellent communication and customer service skills
-
Dependable and trustworthy with a professional attitude

Basic math and literacy skills (8th grade level)

Ability to count money accurately
Physical Requirements:

Stand for 4–8 hour shifts
-
Frequent walking, bending, and reaching
-
Use of hands, wrists, and arms repetitively
-
Lift up to 10 lbs frequently, up to 36 lbs occasionally

Push/pull up to 40 lbs occasionally
