Duties
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual needs, preferences, and medical histories.
- Educate clients on the benefits of various massage techniques and recommend appropriate treatments for pain management or relaxation purposes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of each session, including client notes, treatment plans, and progress reports.
- Ensure a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to all sanitation protocols and maintaining equipment in excellent condition.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns, provide guidance, and ensure a positive experience.
- Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and relevant medical terminology through ongoing professional development.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of physiology and human anatomy to tailor treatments effectively.
- Proven experience in patient service with excellent client communication skills.
- Proficiency in various massage techniques including Swedish massage, deep tissue therapy, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and pain management strategies.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and occupational health.
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and other relevant safety certifications.
- Ability to assess client needs accurately and develop customized treatment plans that address specific concerns such as pain relief or stress reduction.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor that fosters trust and comfort.
