We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Overnight Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care while supporting operational and clinical initiatives throughout the organization.
Review, verify, and clarify medication orders to ensure safe and effective therapy.
Oversee the compounding, preparation, and dispensing of sterile and non-sterile medications.
Provide pharmaceutical care for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patient populations.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy.
Participate in medical emergencies and provide clinical support as needed.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, including TJC, OSHA, Medicare/Medicaid requirements, and Texas State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
Utilize pharmacy technology systems and drug information resources to support patient care and operational excellence.
Verify the accuracy of medication products and labeling prior to dispensing.
Supervise and support pharmacy technicians while promoting a culture of safety and quality.
Education: Pharm.D. degree or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy required.
Experience: Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency strongly preferred. Equivalent hospital pharmacy experience (minimum 3 years) will be considered.
Licensure: Current Texas Pharmacist license and Pharmacy Preceptor license, or eligibility for licensure in the State of Texas, required.
