Job Summary (Cashier)
Welcome guests, take orders, bring customer to table, and picking up calls. In this role, you should treat people with respect and greet customers with hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Clear and remove used dishes, glassware, utensils, and linens from tables efficiently and safely.
- Sanitize and reset tables quickly to maintain a clean and inviting dining area.
- Assist servers by bussing tables and delivering food or beverages when needed.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of trays, chairs, or supplies following safe lifting practices.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all areas of the dining space.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate table turnover and service flow.
- Support kitchen staff with basic food handling or catering support as required during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.
- Strong cleaning skills with an understanding of sanitation standards in the food industry.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and serve guests effectively.
- Knowledge of table setting, food safety practices, and hospitality standards is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude with a focus on customer service excellence.
