Manual Transmission CDL A Local Driver
Job Description
Experienced Class A Local Truck Drivers to support our transportation and logistics operations. This role is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient movement of freight, within a defined local radius to high traffic cross dock facilities and client locations, while maintaining compliance with all DOT regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- No Touch Freight
- Dry-Van Trailer Swaps and Cross Dock Moves
- Safely operate a Class A Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) with manual transmission for local deliveries and pickups
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report maintenance issues promptly
- Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to meet service expectations
- Maintain accurate logs for mileage, fuel, deliveries, and hours of service (HOS)
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery status and any delays or issues
- Provide professional, customer-focused service during all interactions

Minimum Qualifications

· Be dependable, punctual, and ready to hustle
- Must possess a good driving record
- Must be able to work unsupervised
- Must possess a good work ethic and provide courteous service to customers & other drivers on the road
- Minimum of one year experience
- Must be able to sit up to 90% of the day
- Must be able to work in unheated or non-air-conditioned areas
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Minimum 12 months of verifiable Class A driving experience
- Clean driving record:
- No more than 1 moving violation in the past 3 years
- No serious violations (e.g., DUI, reckless driving, excessive speeding, leaving the scene, etc.)
- Ability to read, speak, and write English per FMCSA requirements
- Must pass:
- DOT drug screen
- DOT physical (minimum 6-month certification)
- Company road test
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and Hours of Service compliance
- Ability to operate tractor-trailers and navigate using GPS and routing tools
Schedule / Compensation
- 24-Hour Operation
- 12-Hour Shifts
- 07:00 AM – 07:00 PM Days, 07:00 PM – 07:00 AM Nights
- 4 Days On / 2 Days Off
- Home Daily
- $28 per hour to start
- Night Shift Differential Pay
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
