Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join our friendly and professional team. This full-time position is essential for supporting our ophthalmologists and ensuring the highest level of patient care in our practice. Salary is based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist ophthalmologists during examinations and procedures.
- Perform preliminary tests such as visual acuity, tonometry, and refraction.
- Document patient history and maintain accurate medical records.
- Educate patients with pre-operative and post-operative care.
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience is preferred but not required. We will train.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to ophthalmology is a plus.
- Ability to perform vital signs of assessments accurately.
- Familiarity with medical coding practices is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
