Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Plan and develop diverse menus, including catering options, with a focus on fine dining and dietary accommodations
- Oversee food production, preparation, and serving processes to ensure timely delivery of delicious dishes
- Manage inventory control and food management procedures to minimize waste and optimize costs
- Enforce food safety sanitizing procedures, proper handling, and hygiene standards across the kitchen
- Coordinate shift management, including scheduling staff, overseeing catering events, and ensuring compliance with health regulations
- Supervise the dietary department when applicable, ensuring nutritional guidelines are met while maintaining excellent service standards
Qualifications
- Proven culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining and catering environments
- Demonstrated supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitizing procedures, and food handling regulations
- Experience in banquet service, menu planning, inventory management, and cost control
- Skilled in food preparation, cooking techniques, kitchen management, and team leadership
- Familiarity with restaurant management practices including shift management and food service operations
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Excellent communication skills with a passion for hospitality and serving guests
