ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Under the supervision and direction of the Director of Pharmacy/ Pharmacist, performs a variety of technical and clerical duties for the hospital-wide unit dose drug distribution system and intravenous admixture program.
Responsible for maintaining confidential reports, entering and retrieving data via computer system, preparing medications, filling automated medication dispensing system with a supply of unit dose medications, procuring, and filling requests for pharmaceutical supplies and delivery of supplies to nursing units.
Reports to work in a timely manner and adheres to policies, procedures, and processes.
Performs other job duties as needed and/or as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires high school graduate (or equivalent).
Inpatient pharmacy experience with IV room certification is highly preferred.
Must be able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written means.
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician or a Registered Technician Trainee.
De-escalation training is required within 30 days of hire.
