Job Summary
Job Title: Roving Leasing Agent (Barstow & High Desert, CA)
We are hiring a roving leasing agent to assist with leasing activities at properties located throughout Barstow, CA and the High Desert area. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and is comfortable traveling between locations.
Position Details:
- Pay: $18.00 per hour
- Schedule: 5 hours per day, 5 days per week (Part-Time)
- Travel Area: Barstow, CA and High Desert, CA
- Mileage Reimbursement: Paid mileage for travel between sites
Job Duties (not complete list):
- Show available units to prospective tenants
- Respond to leasing inquiries by phone, email, and in person
- Assist with applications and basic screening paperwork
- Schedule tours and follow up with prospects
- Provide excellent customer service
- Work with Housing Authority Portfolios
Requirements:
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
- Must be able to travel as needed between Victorville, Hesperia, Apple Valley, and Barstow on any given day
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Leasing or office experience preferred
Other Duties
- Actively engage with prospective residents at various properties, providing tours and detailed information about available units and community amenities
- Promote lease ups through effective upselling techniques while ensuring adherence to Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 guidelines
- Manage leasing inquiries via phone, email, and in person with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Complete leasing paperwork accurately, including contracts, applications, and legal documentation such as LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) compliance forms and other programs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of property features, rent structures, and lease policies using Yardi
- Coordinate with property maintenance teams to ensure units are move-in ready and address any issues that may impact leasing efforts
- Foster positive relationships with current residents and community stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction and retention
