Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension components, and electrical systems across various heavy equipment and vehicles.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, alignment checks, and system inspections to prevent future issues.
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems accurately.
- Fabricate or modify parts using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs or customizations.
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently during maintenance or repair procedures.
- Assist with assembly and disassembly of equipment components for repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety standards.
- Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and logs of all work performed to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Diesel Technician or Heavy Equipment Mechanic within a dealership or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics combined with hands-on experience repairing farm machinery, industrial equipment, or heavy trucks.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar (CAT) equipment, hydraulic systems, HVAC systems in vehicles/equipment, and electronic diagnostic tools.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools necessary for repairs.
- Experience with vehicle maintenance including tire service, shocks & struts replacement, suspension work, and brake repair.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical manuals for troubleshooting complex vehicle systems.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge complemented by strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Pay: $30.65 - $41.91 per hour
