Liberty Hotel Group is a hotel management company overseeing a growing portfolio of 25+ properties across multiple markets, including Marriott, IHG, Hilton, Best Western, and Choice Hotels brands, as well as independent hotels. We partner with ownership groups to drive best-in-class operational performance, guest experience, and profitability at every hotel we manage. As we continue to scale, we're looking for a Vice President of Operations to lead property performance across the portfolio and help shape the next phase of our growth.
The VP of Operations will own operational performance across Liberty Hotel Group's full portfolio of managed properties. You'll be the primary connective tissue between General Managers at each hotel and executive leadership — setting the operational standards, driving performance across guest satisfaction, revenue, labor, and cost metrics, and ensuring every property runs like it's the flagship. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for an operator who thrives on running multiple properties at once, developing General Managers, and building scalable systems as the portfolio grows.
Portfolio Operations Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day operational performance across all managed properties, ensuring consistent standards for guest service, quality, safety, and brand compliance
- Conduct regular property visits and operational audits, providing hands-on coaching and course-correction to General Managers and property leadership teams
- Set portfolio-wide operational KPIs and hold property leadership accountable to performance targets (RevPAR, GOP, labor cost, guest satisfaction scores, etc.)
- Serve as the primary escalation point for significant operational issues across the portfolio
General Manager Development & Team Leadership
- Directly manage, mentor, and develop General Managers across the portfolio, building bench strength for future growth
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and performance management for property-level leadership
- Partner with HR on staffing strategy, labor optimization, and talent development programs portfolio-wide
Financial & Strategic Performance
- Partner closely with the Financial Controller and corporate finance team to review property-level P&Ls, budgets, and forecasts
- Identify operational drivers of underperformance and lead corrective action plans at the property level
- Support the annual budgeting process from an operational perspective, ensuring realistic, achievable targets
- Contribute operational input into capital expenditure planning, renovations, and property repositioning decisions
Brand, Guest Experience & Quality
- Ensure consistent execution of brand standards across franchised and independent properties in the portfolio
- Monitor guest satisfaction data (brand surveys, online reviews, direct feedback) and drive portfolio-wide service improvement initiatives
- Lead quality assurance and brand inspection readiness across all properties
- Champion a guest-first culture that balances service excellence with operational efficiency
Growth & New Property Integration
- Support due diligence and operational assessments for new property acquisitions or management contracts
- Lead operational onboarding and integration for newly added properties, including systems setup, staffing, and standards implementation
- Partner with corporate finance to ensure new properties are set up on Liberty Hotel Group's core systems (including Inn-Flow) and reporting cadence from day one
- Represent Liberty Hotel Group in relationships with brand representatives, ownership groups, and key vendors
