Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures
- Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging, including X-rays
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals in our care
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient
- Provide animal restraint and support during procedures to ensure safety for both pets and staff
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures
- Handle various species with knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and husbandry practices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the clinic, adhering to aseptic techniques
Qualifications
- Previous veterinary technician experience is preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology
- Experience with animal handling
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- A commitment to providing exceptional pet care in a compassionate manner
