Position Summary:
The Human Resources Intern is responsible for activities related to the overall support of administration functions, monitoring, assisting with day to day operations of the Human Resources Department, working closely with the restaurant Managers, HR Generalists and HR Managers. Ensures the employee experience is successfully delivered within the framework of Gibsons Restaurant Group philosophy and culture, which is based upon the Core Values of Hospitality, Quality, Value and Family. This position requires in person attendance. The internship length is 10 weeks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily recruiting activities, including contacting candidates through multiple recruiting platforms.

Become proficient in the GRG Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and onboarding system.

Monitor and manage posted job openings throughout the organization, including opening and closing positions as requested.

Support job fair preparation, coordination, and applicant communication.

Create flyers and other communications for internal and external audiences.

Become proficient in Form I-9 and E-Verify processes for new hires.

Maintain, organize, and secure employee records by uploading documents into the HRIS and filing systems.

Participate in employee orientation and onboarding activities as needed.

Support HR Generalists and Managers with unemployment insurance, workers’ compensation, and benefits administration tasks.

Assist candidates and employees with questions and requests in person and over the phone.

Assist with monitoring compliance with labor laws and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Perform general administrative duties, including filing, photocopying, scanning, faxing, and mailing.

Support front desk operations by answering and screening telephone calls professionally and efficiently, taking accurate messages, and arranging conference calls.

Assist with the Service Awards program and employee recognition initiatives.

Manage assigned projects and complete tasks within established deadlines.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
Must be a student at an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate-level degree in Human Resources Management, Hospitality, or related field.
