Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist – Four-Day Workweek and Guaranteed Salary
Cypress Speaks Speech Therapy is hiring a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing pediatric private practice in Cypress, Texas.
We are primarily seeking a full-time SLP, but we are open to discussing part-time employment with the right candidate. Experienced CCC-SLPs and Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply.
Cypress Speaks is a small, locally owned and SLP-operated practice. We provide clinicians with guaranteed compensation, dedicated documentation time, administrative support, clinical autonomy, and the materials needed to provide high-quality pediatric therapy.
Position Highlights
- Four-day workweek
- Monday through Thursday schedule

Schedule
The full-time schedule is:
Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
The workday includes:
- One-hour duty-free lunch
- One hour of guaranteed paid documentation and planning time
- Primarily 30-minute treatment sessions
- Approximately one to two evaluations per week (varies based on needs)
Evening availability is required because after-school hours are the busiest time at the clinic.
The position is primarily based at our Cypress clinic but may include providing services at a limited number of partnering ABA centers.
Compensation
- Competitive guaranteed salary
- Compensation based on licensure, experience, specialized clinical skills, and overall qualifications
- Salary is guaranteed during patient cancellations
- Compensation is negotiable based on experience
- Documentation, treatment planning, meetings, evaluations, and other assigned responsibilities are included in the salaried position

Caseload and Responsibilities
Cypress Speaks serves pediatric patients from birth through age 18, with occasional services continuing through age 20.
Clinicians work with a broad range of speech, language, communication, feeding, developmental, and social-communication needs.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech, language, communication, and feeding evaluations
- Developing individualized plans of care
- Providing evidence-based individual therapy
- Completing accurate and timely documentation
- Communicating with parents and caregivers
- Collaborating with other clinicians, office staff, physicians, schools, ABA providers, and community professionals
- Participating in team meetings and clinical collaboration
- Maintaining professional and ethical standards
- Using available clinical time appropriately for documentation, planning, collaboration, and materials preparation
Patient cancellations do not reduce the clinician’s salary. When cancellations occur, clinicians may use the additional time for documentation, treatment planning, collaboration, parent communication, materials preparation, or other assigned clinical responsibilities.
Administrative and Clinical Support
Our front-office and billing teams handle:
- Scheduling and rescheduling
- Insurance verification
- Authorizations
- Referrals
- Billing and collections
- Routine coverage coordination
- General administrative responsibilities
Clinicians are not expected to verify insurance benefits, manage collections, or independently fill openings in their schedules.
Office staff are also available to help create and prepare therapy materials and assist clinicians and patients when needed.
Clinicians have autonomy over treatment planning while receiving support and collaboration from the clinical team.
We intentionally provide time during the workday for documentation and planning so clinicians can generally complete their responsibilities at the clinic. Completing work from home should be rare rather than a routine expectation.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience or a strong interest in pediatric speech-language pathology
- Strong clinical judgment and individualized treatment-planning skills
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Dependability and strong time-management skills
- Timely and accurate documentation
- A collaborative and professional approach
- Experience with AAC or a desire to strengthen AAC skills
- Pediatric feeding therapy experience is strongly preferred
- Willingness to work after-school and early-evening hours
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field
- Current Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility for a Texas Clinical Fellow license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence or eligibility to complete a Clinical Fellowship
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Ability to complete required background checks and onboarding requirements
