Leader in the metal forming and fabrication industry is seeking a full time Press Brake Operator to join their growing workforce in Temperance, MI!
Duties:
- Set up and operate CNC press brake machines to bend, form, and fabricate sheet metal parts to specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, work orders, and flat patterns to determine bend sequence and tooling requirements.
- Select and install appropriate punches, dies, and back gauges.
- Program and adjust machine settings for proper bend angles and tolerances.
- Inspect parts for accuracy using measuring tools (calipers, protractors, gauges, etc.).
- Maintain press brake tooling and report any equipment issues or maintenance needs.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with company policies.
Qualified candidates will have 2+ years of experience operating CNC press brake machines (Amada, Accurpress, Cincinnati, or similar), a strong understanding of sheet metal forming, bend allowances, and tooling setup, and the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and flat layouts. Familiarity with stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel materials, an excellent attention to detail and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs also required.
Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
