Quality Inspector
Location: Auburn Hills, MI
Schedule: 1st shift
Pay Rate: $15.00/hour
Status: Full-Time | Temporary/Contract
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to perform sorting and inspection of water heater tanks in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to ensuring products meet quality standards before shipment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect and sort water heater tanks according to customer quality standards.
- Identify and separate defective or non-conforming products.
- Follow inspection procedures and work instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspection activities as required.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE at all times.
- Perform additional quality-related duties as assigned by supervision.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects.
- Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous manufacturing, production, or quality inspection experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing environment.
- Standing and walking for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Must adhere to all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive inspection tasks.
- Ability to lift materials as needed throughout the workday.
Dress Code & PPE
- Long pants required (jeans or khakis only; no sweatpants or leggings).
- Polo shirt, button-up shirt, or plain T-shirt (no offensive graphics or language).
- Steel-toe footwear is required.
- Safety glasses are required.
