Job Description: Sales Support Representative
Basic Purpose – This role coordinates sales activities, builds strong customer relationships, and serves as a liaison between internal departments and external partners to support sales growth and deliver exceptional service across Foodservice and Retail markets. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and committed to representing Catelli Brothers Family of Foods with professionalism and integrity.
The Sales Support Representative reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and provides administrative, operational, and customer support to the Regional Sales team.
Key Responsibilities
Support Regional Sales Managers in achieving territory sales goals and business objectives.
Coordinate customer meetings, plant visits, and sales presentations, document outcomes and follow-up actions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, brokers, distributors, and foodservice operators.
Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, orders, and service.
Recommend products and solutions that meet customer needs and maximize sales opportunities.
Assist in identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing customer relationships.
Prepare sales reports, activity summaries, customer visit reports, and performance tracking documents.
Maintain sales records, expense reports, sample requests, vehicle allowance documentation, and other departmental administrative tasks.
Coordinate promotional activities, product launches, and customer marketing initiatives.
Track sales performance and promotional effectiveness.
Participate in industry trade shows, conventions, and customer events, including booth setup and product demonstrations.
Gather competitive intelligence, including market trends, pricing, and product offerings, and communicate findings to management.
Provide customers with product information, technical support, and educational materials.
Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Service, and Production teams to improve customer satisfaction and product performance.
Requirements
Ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory.
Valid driver's license with the ability to travel by car and air as needed.
Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
High ethical standards and professional integrity.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with CRM systems is preferred.
Comfortable working remotely and managing responsibilities independently.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of sales support, inside sales, account management, or customer service experience.
Foodservice, retail grocery, or protein industry experience preferred.
Experience working with distributors, brokers, and national or regional accounts is a plus.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
