Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, sew, and alter garments with accuracy and care, ensuring high-quality finishes.
- Consult with customers to understand their alteration requests and provide expert recommendations.
- Use sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to perform repairs, hemming, resizing, and custom modifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.
- Collaborate with team members to manage workload efficiently during busy periods.
- Inspect finished garments for quality control, making adjustments as needed for perfect fit and finish.
- Communicate clearly with customers about timelines, procedures, and any additional alterations required.
- Schedule is flexible and team member will be able to work the hours that best suit their personal schedule!
Requirements
- Proven experience in garment construction, sewing, or tailoring within a fashion retail or similar environment.
- Proficiency with sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques for various fabrics and garment types.
- Strong understanding of garment fitting, alterations, and repair processes.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, fabric cutting, and sizing adjustments.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and clear communication.
- Knowledge of fashion retail operations is preferred but not required.
