Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to join our facilities maintenance team. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain pristine surfaces
- Handle custodial tasks including trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and sanitizing high-touch areas
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, light painting, and equipment upkeep when needed
- Operate industrial cleaning tools for deep cleaning projects or specialized floor care procedures
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored in compliance with safety standards
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents during cleaning operations
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings preferred
- Knowledge of various cleaning techniques including floor buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers or extractors is a plus
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks like minor repairs or painting is advantageous
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety guidelines throughout all tasks
